Welcome to OmniTek !
OmniTek offers a full range of instruments for oil and used oil analysis. In order to detect possibly fatal wear in any lubricated system such as engines, turbines, gearboxes but also hydraulic systems, a proactive maintenance strategy is critical.
To provide as much information as possible about machine and lubricant condition, OmniTek offers a full range of analytical instruments. From the portable IR-spectrometer, the Fluidscan, up to laboratory scale instruments for Viscosity, FTIR, Spectroscopy and Particle Counting and classification, you can count on OmniTek to bring you the right solution in used oil analysis.

Kinematic viscosity testing
Our S-flow® viscometry systems for lubricants combine a new concept of viscometer design with varying degrees of automation : from manual measurement to automated measuring and cleaning !
While complying with or exceeding all relevant standards such as ASTM D445, D446 and ISO3104, its main distinctive features are particularly useful in used oil analysis : ease of use, high speed, small sample size and low solvent consumption.
Particle counting and wear shape classification
Using a unique and patented technology, the LNF not only counts and accurately measures the size of wear particles, but it is also able to recognize the shape of the particles. It then automatically classifies them into any of the following categories : cutting, fatigue, severe sliding, nonmetallic and fibers.
This provides priceless information on the actual causes of wear. The latest model now also includes dynamic viscosity at 40ºC, making it indispensable in used-oil analysis. The LNF is fully compliant with ISO 4406
Portable Condition Monitoring !
The unique and patent pending FluidScan is a hand-held mid-IR spectrometer that is able to provide instant results on crucial oil condition parameters such as nitration, sulfation, water, glycol, additive depletion, TAN, TBN, soot and more.
With a battery life of up to 8 hours, this is the ideal tool to quickly check hydraulic fluids, engine oils, turbine oils and gear oils for degradation and the presence of contaminants.
Rotating Disc Electrode Spectrometer
As all our equipment, the newest Spectroil Q100 Rotrode AES Spectrometer was specifically designed for used oil analysis. Using state of the art CCD optics, this compact instrument is very easy to use and does not require a trained lab operator.
The proven Rotating Disc principle complies with ASTM D6595 and provides 22 elements in its standard configuration, to which elements can be easily added even after installation !
Degradation and contamination with FTIR
Fourier Transform InfraRed Spectrometry allows for easy determination of key oil condition parameters such as water content, soot content, TAN, TBN, glycol, additive depletion, oxydation, nitration and sulfation.
This high resolution laboratory FTIR unit comes equipped with the revolutionary flip-top transmission cell, which makes introducing the sample extremely easy and also allows for the analysis of viscous samples, which is not possible using conventional transmission cells
Particle analysis with Ferrography laboratory
The Ferrography laboratory, consisting of a ferrogram maker, high magnification bichromatic microscope, camera and imaging software allows a detailed investigation of size, composition and shape of wear particles.
This is the ideal complementary tool to the LaserNet Fines to analyze the limited number of samples that require detailed scrutiny, while the LNF provides the required information on all routine samples
